What are plug plants?Plug plants are plants that have reached an early stage of developement grown in small plug nodules in a tray. They need to be potted on and grown on in the greenhouse before planting out. Both fruit and vegetables can be bought at plug plants, but they are commonly seen for winter bedding plants - and are usually great value. They need to be grown on and this can be done by putting them into bigger pots and kept indoors in either a greenhouse or a conservatory.
